Homeowner Association Board Member Seminar Scheduled for May 6, Brown Says
EAST STROUDSBURG – Rep. Rosemary M. Brown (R-Monroe/Pike) and the local Homeowner Association (HOA) Task Force are hosting an
HOA Board Member Seminar on Sunday, May 6, from 2-5 p.m., at the Country Club of the Poconos, in the Whispering Pines Banquet Hall, located at
1445 Big Ridge Drive in East Stroudsburg.
“With a very large number of residents living in private communities in our district, I have been working diligently to assist them in a productive manner,” Brown said. “The goal of this seminar is to offer private community board members additional education to help them in their volunteer positions, so they can make the best possible decisions for their community residents. They will also be to discuss and share operating ideas with board members of other communities. This is a true benefit for board members and their residents, and I urge each community to have at least two board members attend.”
The program will include information on the following topics: enforcing association rules and the appeals process, reserve studies and why they may be needed, and self-management versus using a management company.
This seminar is free to attend, but pre-registration is required by calling 570-420-8301 or by emailing
lmeglio@pahousegop.com with the name of attendees, private community name and official position.
