Finding the Funding and Grant Writing Basics Seminar to be Held on March 9, Brown Says
EAST STROUDSBURG – Rep. Rosemary M. Brown (R-Monroe/Pike) invites residents of the 189th District to attend the Finding the Funding and Grant Writing Basics Seminar she is co-hosting with Northeastern Pennsylvania Nonprofit and Community Assistance Center (NCAC). The event will be held on Friday, March 9, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Monroe County Public Safety Center, located at 100 Gypsum Road in Stroudsburg.

“I encourage anyone who is interested in learning more about the basics of obtaining a grant for their business, group or entity to attend this event,” Brown said. “Attendees will hopefully leave with a working knowledge of how to begin the grant process and be successful in their future attempts to obtain one.”

The seminar will be focused on grant seeking and grant writing and will be presented by NCAC Executive Director Kurt Bauman. This is intended to introduce the basics of grant seeking, as well as the nuances of effective grant writing, preparation and submission strategies. Participation in this seminar offers an opportunity to learn new approaches in grant writing and how to increase the chances of getting funded.
