Brown Invites Area Residents to Health and Wellness Event on April 25
EAST STROUDSBURG – Rep. Rosemary M. Brown (R-Monroe/Pike) and Northampton Community College Monroe Campus will host “Health-Palooza,” a health and wellness event, for area residents of all ages.
“Health and wellness are important topics for people of all ages,” Brown said. “Bringing this information to the community helps encourage optimal health, which can only enhance a person’s life. I hope the community will take advantage of the resources offered at this event.”
The event will be held on Saturday, April 25, from noon to 4 p.m., at the Shawnee Inn. There is no fee to attend, and all ages are welcome. Group fitness activities, live entertainment, activities for kids, healthy food demonstrations, and informational health sessions and screenings – for blood pressure, glucose, and bone density, etc. – will all be available at this event.
Additionally, the Valor Clinic Foundation, which supports local homeless veterans in their efforts to achieve self-sufficiency, will be accepting hoodies, sneakers, reusable shopping bags, and pull-top canned foods at this event.
