Assistance with Federal or Veteran Issues Available at Brown’s District Office
EAST STROUDSBURG – Rep. Rosemary M. Brown’s (R-Pike/Monroe) district office in East Stroudsburg will again host free veteran assistance and federal assistance hours throughout the month of December to assist area residents with related needs. Brown’s district office is located at 696 Seven Bridge Road, Suite 101, in East Stroudsburg.

“I encourage residents to continue to take advantage of these monthly assistance hours,” said Brown. “We’re fortunate to have these services available at our district office, and I have been really pleased with how many people we’ve been able to assist with federal and veteran issues.”

Kerry Schimelfenig, department service officer with the American Legion, will visit Brown’s office on Thursday, Dec. 12, and on the second Thursday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling Brown’s office at 570-420-8301. Some of the services he can provide to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans benefits. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services.

Additionally, a staff member from Congressman Tom Marino’s office will hold a federal casework day at Brown’s district office on Tuesday, Dec. 17, and on the third Tuesday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is to allow residents who are having issues with federal agencies to meet one on one with a member of the congressman’s staff.
