Assistance with Federal or Veteran Issues Available at Brown’s District Office
EAST STROUDSBURG – Rep. Rosemary Brown (R-Pike/Monroe) will again host free veteran assistance and federal assistance hours throughout the month of November at her East Stroudsburg district office, located at 696 Seven Bridge Road, Suite 101, to assist area residents with related needs.

“Over the last several months, many constituents have taken advantage of these services,” said Brown. “With the winter months setting in, I encourage anyone who needs assistance to schedule an appointment at our district office, rather than driving a further distance for the same service.”

Kerry Schimelfenig, department service officer with the American Legion, will visit Brown’s office on Thursday, Nov. 14, and on the second Thursday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling Brown’s office at 570-420-8301. Some of the services he can provide to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans benefits. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services.

Additionally, a staff member from Congressman Tom Marino’s office will hold a federal casework day at Brown’s district office on Tuesday, Nov. 19, and on the third Tuesday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is to allow residents who are having issues with federal agencies to meet one on one with a member of the congressman’s staff.
