Boback, Brown to Take Part in Panel Discussion on Empowering Women in Civics, Business
WHAT: The Pennsylvania Commission for Women will host a panel discussion about the engagement and empowerment of women in civics and business, “Women Taking the Lead.” Six women – three lawmakers and three entrepreneurs – will participate in the panel discussion. The event is being held in conjunction with Women’s History Month.

WHO: Reps. Karen Boback (R-Columbia/Luzerne/Wyoming), Rosemary M. Brown (R-Monroe/Pike) and Vanessa Lowery Brown (D-Philadelphia); Pamela Varkony of Allentown, international writer and speaker; Dr. Pamela Hadley of Philadelphia; and Amy Hancock of Pittsburgh, president of Advantage Group; along with Maria Montero, executive director of the PA Commission for Women. Local high school students from Harrisburg High School and Bishop McDevitt High School, as well as capital area homeschoolers, have also been invited to participate. The program is open to the public.
