EAST STROUDSBURG – Giving back to local veterans who served in the armed forces, Rep. Rosemary Brown (R-Monroe/Pike) and local businesses will be hosting a Veteran’s Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 8-10 a.m., at East Stroudsburg High School South, 279 N. Courtland St., East Stroudsburg. Veterans are invited to bring a guest.

“Our servicemen and women have sacrificed so much to keep our freedom and liberties safe,” said Brown. “We want to show our appreciation for those who served, especially our local veterans, and show them that their sacrifices have not gone unnoticed. They have served for us; now we want to serve them.”

Thomas Ryan of Vetstock will be the guest speaker during this event. Veterans will also have the opportunity to speak with representatives from the American Legion, Vetstock and Operation Chill Out. Breakfast will be provided by Huddle House, parfaits will be provided by Brodheadsville and East Stroudsburg McDonald’s, cupcakes will be provided by Sonia’s Sweet Inspirations, and cookies will be provided by Kinsley’s ShopRite. Local students will be serving the sit-down meal as well. The East Stroudsburg North High School Choir will also be performing during the event.

Brown continued, “I also want to sincerely thank Huddle House, McDonald’s, Sonia’s Sweet Inspirations, Kinsley’s ShopRite and local students for partnering with me and showing their support for our veterans in our community. The community coming together to honor and show gratitude for our service members is inspiring.”

Brown encourages those interested in attending to call her district office at 570-420-8301 prior to Nov. 4.
